The main objective of the course is to build the capacity of participating organizations in the area of monitoring and evaluation through the presentation and discussion of monitoring and evaluation concepts and methodologies and the application of participatory exercises. The course aims to equip practitioners, project partners or external evaluators with the knowledge and expertise to be able to conduct their own planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting which is critical to any organisation or government department involved in development projects and programmes. The course runs in a workshop style with a high degree of participant involvement.

The training program is designed for middle and senior level project managers, monitors, evaluators and team leaders, who are directly or indirectly involved in monitoring and/or evaluating projects, or are expected to be engaged in such activities in future.
