The National University of Science & Technology, Centre for Continuing Education (NUST-CCE) in partnership with Overseas Education & Training Consultants (OETC) are offering the internationally recognized Aged-Care IV Course.
The Course is designed for those who are currently employed in the Aged-Care industry and seek to advance their careers through obtaining an internationally recognized qualification. However, beginners interested in the growing Aged-Care industry are free to apply. The course objective is to equip participants with effective support, communication, behavior management, industry information requirements, safety procedures, cultural sensitivity and counseling knowledge and skills to maintain and provide personal care and assistance to clients in aged-care residential facilities. The core modules comprise:

Vocational Placement (Skills Workbook)
Aged-Care IV is a 3 months training course conducted by very qualified and experienced nursing tutors. The bulk of the teaching will comprise 4-hour face-to-face weekday sessions, three times a week, with additional sessions conducted through e-learning, while evening sessions can be arranged upon request and approximately 120 hours are compulsory practical sessions. The course will begin in January 2019 and online registration is now in progress.
Supervised Practical Sessions
Participants will undertake a minimum of 120 hours of supervised practical sessions at selected aged-care residential facilities in Bulawayo.
